Coliseum City Unveiled in Oakland

Major cities in California are all vying for private equity and whatever public dollars remain for sports & entertainment complex's from LA, SD, SF, Sacramento & finally Oakland.

In the case of Oakland they've made several lackluster attempts to convince the A's, Raiders & Warriors to all stay.  I remember 8 years ago while working with the Port a project that would reshape East Oakland on the existing grounds of the Coliseum & Oracle Arena.  Well now 'Coliseum City' has finally taken form and is one step closer to attracting the curiousity of serious investors...

MONEYBALL MOVIE PREMIERE HITS OAKLAND

Glad the premiere of the upcoming feature film #MoneyBall starring Brad Pitt releasing this Friday took place in the city it will portray. Oakland deserves positive press, and its good to see that Hollywood made an effort. MoneyBall is based on the book barring the same name and the intricacies of utilizing baseball stats to build a quality team.  Pitt plays A's GM Billy Beane, who I interacted with a few times while interning with the A's special events department nearly a decade ago.  Hope its a good film.  Brad's suit is amazing...Had to throw that in.
